The Art of Film-Making Influenced by New Technology

With technological advances making their way into our everyday lives, actor Zevi Wolmark couldn’t help but wonder for how much more will film be able to sustain as an art, or how long will it take for new technologies to take its place. Back in 2003 the total annual earnings from video games sales exceeded the profit made at film box offices, and it hasn’t dropped since then. No matter what, film can never be as popular as in the past. That’s why Zevi Wolmark believes that the 20th century was the century of films, and moviemakers from the 50's and 60's of the last century are rightfully considered crucial in film history. Probably even years from today, far in the future, Hitchcock, Lang, Fellini or Bergman will still be considered as the greatest masters of this craft, but there are still so many film enthusiasts hungry for new and innovative authors.

The aim of this article is to single out the key titles, and authors as well, who continue to work on the preservation of film and its values. For Zevi Wolmark there are certain criteria that a film must meet in order to be taken seriously and compete on these lists. Taking into account the opinion of the world's most important critics, the results of the most influential international festivals, as well as the personal preference of Zevi Wolmark we have been able to come up with the best film masterpiece of the 21'st century. As most of the films which are recently released, rely on using new technology, it is questionable whether we should even take into account their ratings and gross earnings.

Although like most people, Zevi Wolmark appreciates the evolution and versatility of digital film-making, still as an actor and artist passionate about his craft, he is happy that film still holds its place and doesn't seem like it will step down of it anytime soon. Even though digital filming has come a long way and therefore should not be underestimated, it is still a format that is evolving.
